Project: Royal  Liver West Entrance Works
Client: Royal Liver Group
Location: Liverpool
Contract Sum: 975K

This project involved the re-organisation and refurbishment of the main visitor entrance to the Grade I listed Liver Building, incorporating a new glazed enclosure and providing improved accessible access for staff and visitors.

Early pre-application dialogue with English Heritage and the Local Authority Conservation Department coupled with a sensitive approach to the architecture ensured a successful planning approval for the proposals. The design was approached with meticulous attention to detail due to the quality and the nature of the existing building fabric. Free-standing elements were introduced which respect the building fabric. Careful attention to the choice of materials coupled with a considered lighting scheme ensures that the space exudes the quality which one would expect from arguably the most iconic building in Liverpool!
