Working in conjunction with National Express, contractor Ashford Construction, Project Manager Goring Berry and architects SBS, Acies will provide vital support for the major redevelopment scheme which will comprise; an 86,000 sq ft glass concourse, 93,000 sq ft temperature controlled waiting area, 4,000 sq ft of retail space and 93,000 sq ft of new office space.

The scheme is the first project of its kind is to be put forward for a British Environmental standard (BREEAM) rating and is expected to receive the rating of excellence. It will include features such as green roofing, surface water attenuation, re-use of demolition materials from the previous development and rain water harvesting systems.

Karl Hill continued: “Sustainability is key to the design of the building and to be recognised for a BREEAM rating is a huge achievement to all partners involved.”
